Pulmonology Clinic I

The department was established in 1995 following the division of the Pulmonology Clinic into two sections of 75 beds, according to the provisions of the Ministry of Health regarding the maximum number of beds included by a section.

Between 1995 and 2004, the head of the department was Dr.Ion Nicolae, primary pulmonologist and former director of the hospital for 18 years. Since 2004 and until now the position is held by Dr.Vancea Dorin, a primary pulmonologist.

The section includes 75 beds with a 23-bed pulmonology compartment and a second 52-bed physiology compartment. The structure also includes 3 beds used for day hospitalizations. The department offers continuous hospitalization and day hospitalization services (all doctors of the department), bronchial endoscopy (Dr. Vancea Dorin, Dr. Fratila Zeno), functional respiratory examinations (Dr. Ionela Iovan).
